From Clinton Slayton: we have about 30 participants, all Y-descent males. Unfortunately, Ancestry's MyFamily DNA will be "orphaning" the site with the Grid on Sept 20 2014, and we are not getting any response from FamilyTreeDNA re the (re)creation of our Surname Project on their service.
If you post an e-mail address I can send the sheets of results. I prefer NOT to use the Attachments features here for this. We also have a by-invitation site on SPOKT.com where you can download these results, or to submit any results you yourself may have, for inclusion. We need to know a brief outline of your what you know of you lineage, as below, as applies to as far back as you can go:
Slaten, etc GGGGF > GGGF > GGF > GF > FATHER > YOU
There are about 20 "Carolina" (my family) results, a half dozen of more A & R (Julia's family) results, and some individuals and groups that did not fit into these two.
To get involved, you need to be a male direct descendant (from only male Slatens, etc, no female lines) and contact FamilyTree DNA about buying a test. We will never again recommend Ancestry DNA, though they served us well for years, then decided to leave us in the lurch and eradicate our Results Grid with no warning.
