I'm looking for a male descendant of Alexander b 3 Sep 1863 in Scotland or William J Fairgrieve b Jul 1869 in Maryland. Their father was William Fairgrieve b 6 Aug 1826 EL, Scotland, who immigrated to the USA in 1865, whose father was James Fairgrieve b 1782 EL, Scotland d 1862 whose father was John Fairgrieve b 1751 EL, Scotland d 1810. My Fairgrieve line has died out but descended from John Fairgrieve b 1751 through his son John b 1796 in Scotland. I'm hoping to find someone who is or who would be willing to participate in a Y-DNA study to confirm our line back to John Fairgrieve b 1751 in Scotland.
