This post announces the launch of the Affleck Surname DNA Project.

The purpose of the Affleck Surname DNA Project is to perform Y-Chromosome DNA Tests on a representative international group of Affleck males bearing the Affleck surname.

The goal is to reliably establish the Affleck haplotype(s) for each of the lineages and determine which of the Affleck lineages share a common ancestor(s).

Every Affleck male carries that unique code of 'our family' in his DNA. With your help we can work together to help unlock this 'Affleck Code' and remove many of the 'brick-walls' that frequently hinder genealogists.
