Would someone please help me with this. Thanks.

I have an exact HVR1 match via FTDNA; she tested with 23&me, transferred her results to FTDNA. We are not a match on 23&me. We are also on Gedmatch, not a match to me, but match with others that I match with. I don't understand this.

Mitochondrial DNA mutates very slowly and your common ancestor with your exact HVR1 match may be hundreds or even thousands of years ago, much older than is detectable through an autosomal test. You may have better luck with a full mitochondrial sequence, but usually mtDNA is not particularly helpful for genealogy, except to confirm or rule out lines of descent identified by other research.
