After playing around with it, and figuring it out, I went ahead and started a new data file to make a clean start. It helped. Understanding what the program can do, and what I really needed information-wise in there made my path clearer. I am still in the process of doing one-to-one data imports for my GedMatch connections (the mass loads from there only get the largest and biggest matches -- and I found that if I match with a person on several segments it often only picks up one). Her blog has some recent and new guides for using it. I'll post them here. I know that the new guides for FTDNA and GedMatch triggered me into restarting -- now that I could see the better way to do some of the data loads.
