Hi! Ok, so here goes. I had my husband and my DNA plus both our parents done over the last few years. I finally got my dad's information in and I am a bit baffled.

First, this seems to be a popular complain. What's up with the Native American genes not showing up? My great grandma is Cherokee...I know this...my grandpa, dad, and I all have very clear outward native American traits. And my great grandma is not the only one, several of my grandmas not too far down the line were native american. Not an ounce shows up for me or my dad on DNA.

Also, I just noticed something else. My dad = 17% Irish. My mom = 7% Irish. I = 28% Irish....?

I know it does not cascade downhill in a half to half to half fashion but that seems a little odd to me. Do we know why Native American just doesn't seem to be showing up when I have a verified great grandmother plus others but 1% Italy Greece from someone WAY down the line shows up? Is that just something that hasn't been worked out yet?
