I just wanted to post a general note regarding people who have private trees.
I know some people are just afraid to have their tree public. However, I have had my tree private for several months now because there are a lot of people on Ancestry.com who do not have the correct information.
I have been combing through my tree to make sure I have documentation for everyone I have, but as you can understand, this takes awhile. I, personally, did not want to contribute to the family tree errors on Ancestry.com. Then again, people should pay more attention to the information they are posting to their trees from other members.
As of today I got my DNA results. I, then, made the tree associated with it public for everyone to review. I have not had time to make a connection with anyone, but I found my ethnicity to be somewhat accurate. Central Europe 48%, British Isles 47% and 5% other.
This process will take patience.
I respond to people who send me messages regarding my private trees. However, there have been several people, with private trees, who I've contacted and they just won't respond to my messages. I can definitely relate on how this becomes frustrating.
Good luck!
