I'm really confused about the whole thing now. I have different people saying different things and me and Mum wish we'd not done the test because of this.
I have one person saying East Asian cannot be mistaken for NA. Then someone says it can. Then someone's saying if you have East Asian, in order to have any NA you must also have NA on your profile, i.e. 50% Euro 25% NA and 25% EA not 50%IE and 50% EA to presume NA heritage.
Now someone's saying it can also mean European but it's come out as East Asian thanks to Ghengis when he invaded years ago! If that is the case then how can it show up when it supposedly only picks up 5 generations? And if it is true, which Europeans does it apply to?
Also surely 11% is significant consider Ancestry say anything less than 5% is noise?
I am really confused and if anyone can offer any answers to the above that would be great.
Many thanks and sorry in advance if I offended anyone who has put any of the comments above, I'm not critising just frustrated at the uncertainty of it all.
