Agree with previous poster re 23&me re bottom line and genetic genealogy in light of "sale" of family tree function to MyHeritage which will require paid subscriptions to another company to access full family tree functions. They haven't shared information on how much they are making for this new "deal" to feed customers to MyHeritage. Added to the announcement of money from the sales of test data to big pharm, their business plan looks pretty focused on bottom line too!
That pretty much leaves FTDNA, with its recent generous policy of taking transfers of tests from other companies at a minimal cost, as the most interested in genetic genealogy over bottom line. Hope more people use them to keep them in business!
