I am puzzled by this constant "complaint" of yours in regards to Gedmatch being a "for profit" company. I say complaint, because you keep constantly bringing this up as a reason why you will not do any business with them.
AFAIK, a company can either be "for profit" or "not for profit". To be "not for profit" means that they have to meet the strict guidelines that the IRS has laid out as to non-profit status. Since they do not meet those they must be "for profit" even if they actually never make any actual profit running a business.
And without knowing the law much, I would also hazard to say it has something to do with protecting their personal assets from lawsuits and seizures if someone sues GedMatch.
