Melv25,

For a "half identical" match segment, you should see mostly solid yellow. The few green SNPs are going to be the ones that match on both alleles by chance. That's normal. The very few red are probably due to the occasional SNP where 2 companies don't agree on the +/- orientation or where GEDmatch just plain got it wrong in the conversion when they were uploaded. It could also possibly be a misread by one of the companies (but, probably not). In any event, ignore those "very few red lines". The comparison algorithm is designed to ignore an occasional SNP mismatch.

Similarly, for a "full identical" match segment, you should see mostly solid green, but there may be an occasional SNP that is a different color.

If this still doesn't sound right, post the kit numbers so we can all see what you are seeing.
