Question about how they figure Dna from Parents...
I had my mom's dna done... They have her added into my fathers side of the family and when finding matches they are matching her also to HIS side of the family. Obviously that's not right. Is there away to have just her own dna matches,if she is not a member??

What test did you have done, and with which company? Where are you seeing the matches, with the original company (such as Ancestry.com?) or on GEDmatch? Member of what?

Hi, Not sure I'm understanding your situation correctly, but just to be clear, you decide whose profile the DNA test is connected to here at Ancestry. If it's your mother's DNA test, attach it to her profile in the DNA settings page. Also, any DNA matches that your mother's test receives are hers - they will not match her to your father's relatives...unless of course she's also related to them.

On the DNA page under "matches" for my Mom, it lists me and all of my dads side to be related to her... When all she is,is related to me.His tree side shouldn't even be there at least under the DNA part... or should it be?? After all she shares none of their blood or Dna...

This message board is for users of GEDmatch.com. It sounds like you may be talking about AncestryDNA, which is an entirely different web site.
