While doing ancestry on my biological father's family I am seeing many reports that my 5th G grandmother is either Native American or African. I saw a picture of her daughter (my 5th great aunt) and I could understand why the reports would be accepted as truth based on the photo. I have 3 DNA tests and not one of them shows any Native American or African. However, my FTDNA results reveal a 10.27% Middle Eastern/Palestinian, Bedouin, Jewish, Mozabite ancestry. However, I am starting to wonder if more of the descendants of this ancestress are actually of the middle eastern heritage than NA or African. My ancestry DNA is 6% uncertain, but I was of the understanding that NA and African populations were among the most studied groups- so I would have thought the DNA would have revealed these populations even if they were very small.
