DNA does not match tree.

My DNA results does not match my family tree. I am wondering if there could have been a mistake in processing. My entire mother, mother's side of the family back to the 1600" is from the bogarosch in the banat. The area is now in Romania. My DNA results does not reflect me having any ancestors in this region. I'm thinking that my DNA results were missed up with someone else. Is that possible?

The area that's now Romania has always been a migratory crossroads for millennia. I'm guessing you showed up as not having "Europe East" in your results? DNA inheritance is largely random and it's possible that the DNA you inherited from your mother is simply not specifically Europe East but from other influences that were present in that area.

Romanians are a blend of the original indigenous Thracians/Dacians, a people who were later conquered by the Romans (hence "Romania"), Roman colonists who settled the land when it was a Roman province, bringing the Latin language and intermarrying with the Thracians/Dacians (and the colonists were Roman citizens from all over the Roman Empire, including from places as far off as Spain, Greece, or Syria), Slavs who settled all over Eastern Europe and the Balkans during the Dark Ages, and other influences from Bulgars, Magyars, Cumans, Tatars, and more. Also, there were Saxon Germans who settled in Transylvania in pretty large numbers in the Middle Ages, a Jewish population, Gypsies, and other ethnic minorities present.

In any event though, that whole region has always been subjected to extensive invasions, migrations, and colonization throughout history, which your results may simply be reflecting.

I am aware that the area has had many invasions. However I have proof that my mother's ancestors came to Hungary (Banat) in 1729 from various areas of Germany and the family had stayed there until 1922. Up until 1919 the area (Bogarosch) was still under Austria Hungary rule but shortly after the agreement of Trianon moved it to Romanian rule.
I believe you have mad a mistake in processing my DNA. How can I have this verufued?
