Yeah Gene that's true about the Egyptians. They would've been a blend of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern and Saharan/sub-Saharan Africans, much as they are today in Egypt and elsewhere in North Africa. That said, the sub-Saharan admixture in other North African countries is largely due to the medieval trans-Saharan slave trade whereas in Egypt it tends to go all the way back to the ancient civilization, probably because the Nile facilitated migration and trade with lands farther to the south in what are now Sudan, Ethiopia, etc.
