That's ok because I have not so far, had any close connections. The closest is a man 4 to 6 th cousin and he has 75 % British Isles DNA and no surnames that match mine.
I don't think that feature will be useful to me until UK people start testing. I do have some distant relatives in the states, people who emigrated in the early 1900s.
I have been having issues with people never responding. My tree was public for many years and I never minded people using my family photos but some of those tress with my photos are now private. It kind of pisses me off actually. I had no other idea of how to handle this so I made my tree private. I might make it public again in the future. I also turned off other tree hints because there are so many errors out there and some people just copy info without checking or without records to back it up. You can tell that when you see some people that have the same mistake in all their trees like clicking on the wrong place, for example an English town that has a town with the same name in New England.
Anyway, I am ranting now. Lol
