Actually, the green pins only mean that you both have ancestors from the same area. It doesn't mean that they're the same ancestors or even that they're related to you through those ancestors.

If you are related to someone through more than one line then the estimate of how closely you are related is probably not very reliable. You are more likely to be 4th or 5th cousins in more than one way rather than 2nd or 3rd cousins.
