I'm helping a family friend try to learn anything about her past and her birth family. She is in her 80s, was adopted at (or near) birth, and has no knowledge of either of her birth parents. She took Ancestry's DNA test and we have the results, but I am now at a bit of a loss as how to help her learn more. She has several matches at the 4th-6th cousin level but nothing closer. I'm trying to go through those matches and find any common relatives, but I have not had any luck yet and I still would have no way of knowing if they are actually *her* relatives as well. So my question is, am I basically stuck at this point and need to just wait for other possible relatives to test as well? Or are there any other ways I could try to find more about her biological family using her DNA results? Any advice is appreciated!
