3 members of my family have tested a suggested 3rd cousin match with 4 members of a family
The shared Cm's range from 111cM-145cM and largest segment 49cM.
In doing my spread sheets I picked up an overlap between them, my brother and sister and 3 identified second cousins from one family
3 members of the matching family tested at Ancestry and just recently uploaded to GEDmatch
The 4th member of the matching family tested at FTDNA where my family is and where
the identified 2nd cousins are.
I've run a matrix on the one at FTDNA and there is no match between the above group and the one family member.
However on my spread sheets I pick up sizable overlaps between the identified cousins,my brother and sister and 3 members of the 3rd cousin family.
Could someone tell if if these overlapping segments could possibly be false positives with
the segments being so large? This is not where we thought the match was.
I'm trying to get the family to upload to FTDNA (for free right now),so that I can do more checking.
It took me a year to get her to upload from Ancestry to GEDmatch.:):)
These are the numbers. And these are the only two places where these two groups match.
