I can relate. I have several families that keep showing up in the trees of my DNA matches. The odds are that I share a common ancestor somewhere within those families, however, since I have not yet found that common ancestor, the people in those other families are not yet in my tree. Naturally some private tree owner who is a descendant of one of those other families who looks at my own tree will not see any names that they recognize since their own ancestors are not there yet.
They have no way of knowing which families I am looking for, nor even a geographical area that might be of interest to me, so it is very frustrating to have them say, "I looked at your tree, didn't see any names I recognized, have a nice day, etc."
