Messaging your autosomal DNA matches? Doublecheck!

(This has been mentioned in a couple of other threads, but I think it needs to be front and center in its own thread.)

Some of us are experiencing an issue where, after sending a message to a DNA match via the match page, that message isn't showing up in our "Sent" folder. The message appears to send normally without any problems, but did it really? We don't know. It doesn't seem so.

An exception is that the message might appear in the Sent folder if it's part of an exchange already in progress.
(This seems to have happened to me, but I think I'm still missing a few messages. EDITED TO ADD: Yes, some of the messages that continued earlier conversations apparently did not send.)

Jim Barry says he hasn't heard from anyone that he's messaged recently from the match page. Neither have I. (I apologize to the person who first brought up this issue; I've forgotten your name *and* I can't remember which thread it was in.) Messages sent from profile pages seem to be just fine.

If you've been sending GEDmatch invitations from the match page to people you've never messaged before, check your Sent folder to make sure they're going through.
