Understanding DNA comparisons

I've uploaded my file and have been looking at my "one to many" DNA comparisons. The newest match has a total cM of 27 and largest cM of 20.3 4.5 on the generations.

When I click on the A I have on Chromosome 8 SNPs of 856,
on Chromosome 14 2433 SNPs and
on Chromosome 18 566 SNPs

On the X chromosome
Largest segment = 8.1 cM
Total of segments > 3 cM = 33.2 cM Actual.
Sex-Adjusted total of segments = 16.6 cM Equivalent.

I really don't understand much of this. Can someone point me in the direction of a tutorial to help me understand.

And can someone give me an example of a really good match.
