I've probably screwed this whole process up. I ordered a Y-DNA kit for my brother, who has no interest in doing any work on ancestry. Changing the contact information changes the "person submitting DNA" information.

To order the transfer, I changed the contact information on the Y-DNA kit to my name and address. Now it shows me as the person tested for Y-DNA. Anyway, it's my account but I'm not sure of the long-term implications.
