Thanks for the explanation. I can understand small differences but not the differences I am seeing. For example on Gedmatch I have a match on ch3 for 8.2 cM and 974 SNPs, whereas FTDNA does not even show any match at all on ch3. I am wondering if it is because i uploaded results from FTDNA that were in May 2012 and my cousin uploaded his just a month ago?
