I recently got my DNA results back and am a little surprised and a bit confused. I know without the slightest of a doubt that I have some native american indian ancestry, on both sides of my family, and I even have paperwork on my 5th great grandfather, stating that he was cherokee indian. I am a little curious as to why this did not show up on my test. My results were as follows... 40% central european, 34% british isles, 14% eastern european, 10% scandinavian, and 2% uncertain.
I guess my question is, could my native american ancestry maybe lie within the uncertain percentage? It's just odd to me that it didn't show up when I have quite a bit of documentation to prove otherwise on both sides of my family.
Thank you!
