Good luck with that task Russell. As a result of autosomal testing I was able to determine the identity of the biological mother of my maternal grandfather who had been adopted by a childless couple.

Even though the family story was that he came from an orphanage, I was able to determine that he was the child of an unmarried first cousin of the woman who adopted. Interestingly this had not even been a goal of my research but i could not ignore the results that started coming my way.
