Blogger CeCe Moore is at the RootsTech conference this weekend. She posted the following in part 10 of the AncestryDNA thread on 23andMe:
"I just got out of a meeting at RootsTech with Dr. Kathy Ball and Dr. Ken Chahine of AncestryDNA (Tim Janzen and Dave Dowell were also there) and they confirmed that the raw data is unfortunately not phased as we had all hoped. It is presented in the way it is delivered to them by the Illumina chip.
"Segment data is 'on the list' of priorities with many other items that we all want. I don't get the impression it will happen any time soon. They are currently working on an update to the Genetic Ethnicity feature, but it won't be out for awhile. AncestryDNA has a very good presence here."
I expect CeCe will have some good write-ups about the conference soon. (It ends tomorrow.) Her site is here:
