This is a studio portrait of a young lady. She is identified on the back as, “Elizabeth Abalon Theilacker.” She must have come up to Portland after the big earthquake in San Francisco (see notation in scan). Because of the destruction in this earthquake many people lived temporarily in Portland or move there permanently. Elizabeth may have been staying with relatives in Portland while her home in S.F. was being repaired. Photo was taken by Hayes & Hayes in Portland, OR, ca. 1906-07.
