My g-uncle was mustered out of the army at the San Francisco Presidio in 1902 after surviving the Spanish American War in the Philippines. The family in Indiana never heard from him again. He appears on no census records after 1900. I wondered if he might have stayed on in San Francisco and died in the earthquake, but could not find his name on any lists of victims. We would appreciate knowing if anyone runs across his name.
