If you "Google" the following:

list of survivors of Johnstown flood 1890

you will find a list (may be complete or not) plus a lot of other sites to check regarding the flood. You may find your answers there.

I am also wondering about this subject. I am wondering about my family who apparently survived. (Although my great great grandmother contracted Pnemonia during the aftermath and died from that.)

Does anyone have any links where we can look for survivor records?

The only problem is, I don't know their name. I know my ancestor's name, but that is her married name. I am going to go this next week and try and find her marriage certificiate, to hopefully find her maiden name so that I can use your good information. Thank you so much for your help! And thank you as well for the help that your family gave trying to find my family in the wreckage of survivors and victims!

Have you contacted the county genealogical society in Johnstown,PA?(It's Cambria County,I believe.) The library is another possible source of information. They may have stories about specific families in the area at the time.
Your family may be also listed in the city directories, and census material.

Also, Ancestry.com has reference material:
"The story of Johnstown : its early settlement, rise and progress, industrial growth, and appalling flood on May 31st, 1889"

Hope this helps you find what you are looking for. (My grandfather and great-grandfather were among those searching for survivors for more than a week.)
