Behind her she leaves a wide path of loss and death,

Millions of lives extinguished

Katrina the destroyer will do down in history as a killer hurricane who wounded americans ever so deep
She will be known for years to pass
as Katrina the natural disaster that kicked America's ass
So here we are wallowing in her ill-fated path
left with a reminder of mother natures wrath
But we will go forward with a new appreciation for life
We will regain our strength and overcome this great strife
We will retrieve our spirit , rekindle our hope
We will rejuvenate and learn to cope
Together we will rise up
Together we will stand
Together we will rebuild
Together we will become strong again
So heed our warning Katrina
