Cal Boyd, long time House of Boyd Society Member, Genealogist and Project Manager for the Boyd DNA Project is alive and uninjured.

He managed to evacuate from his apartment in Chalmette, Louisianna, first to Missouri, and now on to Oklahoma.

Although he has lost most everything he owned, he managed to have the presence of mind to pull his hard drives from his desktop and take them with him. It is unknown how long it may be before he can afford something to put them in to access any data. It is presumed that the data is safe.

The hard copies and an electronic copy of the House of Boyd Society's Membership Genealogical database remains at the home of the President of the Society, in California. It was not in Louisianna, so has not been lost.
