I am looking for information regarding RECOVERY of the bodies of passengers aboard the CPR S.S. Princess Sophia that sank with abt 300 people. All perished.

My grandfather, Peter Vint, was aboard. He was a marine engineer employed with the White Pass Yukon Route.

There were two recovery stages:

1. Oct. - Nov. 1918
Abt. 180 bodies were recovered, identified and shipped to relatives. My grandfather's body was not among them

2. Spring - August 1919
Abt. 105 bodies were recovered. Is there a list of these bodies recovered? If they were unrecognizeable was there a mass burial?

I am familiar with the two books written about this tragedy. I have contacted both authors. They do not have lists of bodies recovered.

Would appreciate any suggestions / information

Thanks
