I am finding other ancestors who had death certificates, but they all seem to have been people who went through an illness at a hospital under a doctor's care, then expired.

Perhaps in the 19th century, those who don't have death certs are those died before help could arrive. We have coroners now, but I don't know if they bothered with that back then.

Thoughts?
