RIC Uniform - need date of photo

Hi,
I just received a picture of my family. I was wondering if anyone is familiar with the RIC uniform. Would this be a RIC uniform in the picture attached.
A date would really help identify the person.
THank you for all your help.

Tadhg Kilgannon, fairly famous Sligo photographer. His studio was in Thomas Street, Sligo town. Published 'Sligo and its Surroundings' (pictorial guide) in 1926. Attached is a copy of his census return in 1901. This will give you a time frame, albeit a large one.

Not enough detail in the photo to be sure but it could be a constabulary uniform and late 1800's I would say.
