HI! I was wondering if you could tell me where you found the info on your grandfather? We had an ancestor in Alabama prison too. The rumor was that he was sent there for embezzelment. He was living in Byhalia, Marshall County, Miss and was a dentist. He is on the 1880 census on the Alabama Prison census. I have not been able to find him since then.
