Just found the "Marlow Gang" on a family tree. Seems as though they were 5 brothers accused of horse stealing. Amob caputured they and hung 3 of them, the other two went to jail and escaped. they later becauce Texas marshalls and eventually settled in Montrose, Colorad. The John Wayne movie "Sons of Katie Elder" was bought but by the time they got through making it, little was left of the original story.
