I.W.W. War Started in Garfield County
ENID, June 3.-(Special)- V.P. Crowe, county attorney, and
Ora Lincoln, sheriff, have announced a war on organizers
of the I.W.W. following the arrest of Fred Vanetters, who
officers said possessed a suitcase full of I.W.W. literature.
Lincoln charged that Vanetters was inciting harvest workers
in the city park to demand an $8 a day wage or not work. The
literature has been confiscated and will be burned, Lincoln
said.
Three alleged I.W.W. organizers have been arrested this week
by Garfield county officials.
