I have a complete alphabetical list of all 85,028 members of the Royal Irish Constabulary (1816-1922) and I am anxious to hear from any of thir descendants.

Hi!

I believe my great-grandfather, Thomas Drew, was in the RIC some time around the turn of the century.

I would be happy to exchange any family info if you confirm this: in particular I'm trying to find his birth/death details.

Yes in fact I do have ROYAL IRISH CONSTABULARY in the family
Charles Edward Reilly #47,536
He joined on the 6th of August 1881 and was Discharged on the 28th day of February 1889. I have his discharge papers.

Genevieve Reilly Bonsignore born 1913, 12/24. Lives in NYC Parents were John Reilly and Jean Carroll . Shes my aunt. Lives one block away from the Twin Towers in NYC- .......what were the twin towers. I can't find her.........I am her only living relative in this part of the country. I was in NYC on Tuesday, 9/11/2001, I did not visit her. I saw the smoke, smelt the destruction and spent alot of time trying to get home to New Jersey.

John Reilly, my grandfather, Geneevieve father , his parents were John Reilly and Catherine Sullivan.

Do you show a William Nichols, chief constable in Grainge (Carlow) around 1847 ? Any other info on this man ?

Mt G grandfather patrick Moloughney was a member of the RIC and received a medal dated 11July 1868 for Humanity to Animals. He was stationed in Belfast. the name on the medal which we still have is spelt MULLOUGHNEY

I wish I new, But if this helps My dad was James P. Herlihy of san francisco and his father had come from Ireland and his Name also was James Herlihy.

My father, Robert Joseph McKillop served in the RIC from 1918-1922.

My G.Grandfather was William Hallisy and I believe he
served in the RIC in the 1870's. He was from County Cork.
I would appreciate any information re.--him, family, spouse,
etc.
