Anyone know of this family? E T Hatfield was married to Laura Hatfield nee Pierce and were probably in their 60's in the 1920's. The store & mill was named E.T. Hatfield & Sons, selling dry goods, notions, Groceries and produce. the letter head says shipping point Eastview,Ky. With address of Box 43 Sonora, Ky., R-1 in 1922.
I have a copy of a letter from Laura Hatfield to her brother William Francis (Frank) Pierce in that year. Laura mentions her daughter in school at Bethlehem who will be home for the summer and her sons: a one year old on april 15 ..1922 and the olther boys are 15 & 17 years old.
She mentions her little store and mill are down on the road where "the old Lee house stood" and she gets a good trade.
She mentions family members: Uncle Ves, Jimmie Skees? , Aunt Sopha B, Uncle Arron Buckles with new wife (the widow of Bill Decker), Johnie & Billie Buckels whos son died in France (WWI), Frankie Pierce going to Colorado, Will Pierce going to Inda ? this fall, etc.
Any information would be wonderful
