My mothers last name was Baker,he parents were from Loogootee Indiana.I was told that the Bakers moved to Loogootee because they were the third family involved in the Hat-Mc fued,and wanted to get away.Other family names on my mothers side of the family were Alford,Doyle.Hinton.Does anyone know if any of these family names played a role in the Hatfield-McCoy fued???
