Picked up this old post on a random search. I can give you much info on Ephraim pre/post-Sarah, or did you find what you wanted? I've always wondered if he and Sarah actually married, although, of course, in Texas, after so many years of presenting themselves as married, they would be considered so under Texas common law. Don't know if he and my gggrandmother were actually divorced, either. Story in our family was that he was a bigamist. I assumed divorce was so frowned on that this may have been the family's view of it, or a religious view. Do you have evidence that they were or weren't married? I'd be interested. I also know how he ended up back with his sons by Emma, his first wife. Let me know if you want more info --
