Hi, does anyone know the next step to finding where a relative was transported to, and how long for.
I found in the Bristol Mercury that my great Grandad x3,
Matthew Cavanagh was convicted of crime in 1843 aged about 15 and was transported for 7 years. I have read that some criminals didn't serve their full time,
he couldn't have because he got married in 1848.
