I'm looking for more information on my ancestor Francis (William) Byrt, born in 1826 in Shepton Mallet, Somerset, England. He was deported to Tasmania in 1845/6 for the crime of burglary. He died in 1851 in Franklin, Tasmania. He may have been murdered.
I wonder if anyone can help find him, or if anyone has access to the Australian records whether they could possibly send my a copy of the image?
