Edward Cook (b 18 Nov 1806 Suffolk, England) was an elder brother of my sword 3xgreat-grandfather Charles Cook. Edward was convicted in the Quarter Session assizes of Bury St. Edmund, Suffolk, 11 Jul 1827. His sentence was seven years and Edward was conveyed aboard the vessel Phoenix, 04 Mar 1828, to New South Wales. Cohorts of record were: Charles & James Rudd. I do not know if Edward survived the journey to Australia, lived to abide there, nor if he married and had family. Reference to Edward as "your lost brother" is read in an old extant letter to my ancestor Charles in America, Schuyler county, Missouri, USA, from the mother Elizabet Prime Cook. I would love to come to correspond with distant cousins of this line or with genealogist(s) happy to assist.
