Can anyone advise me on this issue, my 3*gt grandmother was a convict she married my 3 * gt grandfather in 1833, I have the application for Banns to be read,,it states her as "Bond" and him as "Came Free"

I have also a paper record from someone other than myself who did a look up on this marriage for me and it is a printout, from whatever Society she went to, from their record base, it has the same info on it as the Banns Application but with the added piece NCG which they say is Not Consent from Governor.........

Can anyone tell me how one finds the original record that states the Consent was not gained????????

Was a convict allowed to marry without the Consent???
