Hello, for the longest time I've been trying to find my grandmother, her sister, and her mother in the 1920 Census. I've found her father (Felix J. Watts) in Detroit, but he isn't listed with the family (I think because he was away on work), and also haven't had any luck searching under other family member's names where they might have been staying. I'd really appreciate some assistance from some 1920 Census wizzards. I've tried everything I can think of...first name searches, dates, parents birth places, etc. and have come up with nothing. I've found them in the 1930 Census (Bronson, MI), and in 1910 (Port Huron, MI...though they weren't yet married), but Sarah and her daughters are M.I.A. in 1920.
Details on the missing family members:
Sarah (Dunford) Watts: my great-grandmother b: 1897 in Port Huron, St. Clair, Michigan (sometimes went by Sally or Sal). Her father was Fred Dunford (born in MI) and her mother was Sarah (Pace) Dunford, born in Canada.
Mary "Elizabeth" or "Bette" Watts: oldest daughter, b: Dec, 1916 in Port Huron, St. Clair, Michigan (her father Felix was born in Canada, mother Sarah in Michigan)
Sarah Marjorie Watts: my grandmother, b: May, 1918 in Port Huron, St. Clair, Michigan (her father Felix was born in Canada, mother Sarah in Michigan)
They were likely still in the Port Huron vicinity in 1920, though its possible they may have moved to Bronson, Branch Co., Michigan by then ("possible", but pretty unlikely). Another possibility is that they were also in Detroit since Felix J. Watts was in Detroit then. They had several additional children after 1920, so they weren't split up in 1920.
If anybody can find them, I will be very grateful, and bow to you and your supremacy in Census record searching. :-)
Thanks!
Scott
