I am looking at the 1900 federal census of District 84, Logan Township, Reynolds Co., MO. Next to my ancestor's name (well above it) it says 4-1 of 4. What does this mean? Does it mean he's on his first of four marriages? Also, next to Head (for head of household) it says 2C. What does this mean? If anyone wants to look, it's under Collins, William with his wife's name as Catherine, and sons William A., Charles D.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!!!
