Martin arrived in Ellis Island from Kilmihil, Co. Clare (Ireland)on May 1, 1902. I have a transcript of a letter written by his sister in 1913 which states "Martin is home from Alaska" He returned to the states after his holiday at home. Family lore has it that he robbed a bank somewhere in the States, and got caught. This was not said because he had returned home on holiday although surely this is highly unusual for the time. I am not having any success in getting further info on Martin.
Does anyone have any ideas?
