Hi just found ' scholar ' on a census form next to my great grandads name....I presume it's something to do with school ...... not sure what this means lol as he's only 5 on this census. Can anyone please help me with this

Means he was a student when the census was taken. Not unusual. I started school at 5 years of age as well.
You could always attach a copy of the census page so that we could have a look. It's also helpful to include dates and location on any post, since meanings change with time and between countries.

Perhaps you can post that. If not, provide the name of your ancestor, approximate birth date, and where he lived at the time of the census so that someone can look it up.
